Brad Smith was a star quarterback at New Jersey power Mountain Lakes who ended his varsity career last fall by leading the Lakers to a 24-game win streak and the last two NJSIAA North 2 Group II titles.
Danny Caroussos is a returning starter at QB for Long Island power Smithtown West.
Ditto for Nick Crennan, who enjoyed an outstanding season in his first season as a starter last fall just a bit further west at Chaminade.
Smith, Caroussos and Crennan will all join Joe Lombardi on Sunday at high noon for the Tristate Lacrosse Spotlight September Special.
Yes, we said “Lacrosse Spotlight.”
That’s because, in addition to their football exploits, all trio are standout midfielders in lacrosse.
Smith, now a freshman at Duke University, has advanced to the final 50 in the U19 National team tryout process.
Caroussos and Crennan are both eagerly awaiting their senior seasons this spring.
