The Long Island Showcase got under way Friday with the Game 1 rising senior game as Nassau defeated Suffolk 13-9 at Farmingdale State University.

Mac O’Keefe (Syosset) scored four goals and Ryan Tierney (Massapequa) had one goal and four assists for Nassau, which took control of the game by outscoring Suffolk 7-1 in the third quarter.

The game had been tied 4-4 at the half as Matt Oehl (Connetquot) scored back-to-back goals late in the second quarter. Lucas Cotler (Syosset) scored twice for Nassau. Jack Hanningan (East Islip) had two goals for Suffolk.
