Many players on the lacrosse field react to what has already happened. Mike Adragna is different.

That ability should serve him well at the next well. Adragna has decided to play in-state at Fairleigh Dickinson University, a decision first reported by Joe Lombardi on LaxLessons.com’s Lacrosse Insider premium coverage section.

Another attribute Adragna has is size. He’s 6-foot-3, 175 pounds. The lefty also has strong stick skills.

What were the main factors in your decision?
The education I was going to receive while being able to play lacrosse and where I felt most comfortable.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
Kean, Stockton, NJIT, Nichols, University of Tampa, Immaculata, St. John’s and Arcadia.

What are your strengths as a player?
Clearing the ball, communication and high lacrosse IQ.

What area of your game do you need to work on?
Stick checks.

How did you get introduced to lacrosse and what other sports have you played?
My current high school assistant coach, Mike Jinks, introduced lacrosse to me in sixth grade and I’ve loved it ever since.

I’ve also played basketball.

What travel team do you play on what showcase events did you participate in?
New Jersey Lacrosse Club (NJLC). We went to Meltdown, Legacy Invitational, Gait Cup, Hot Beds in Delaware, Lehigh Laxfest.

Any final thoughts?
Just personally wanted to thank my family, my coaches John Pampalone and Mike Jinks, my basketball coach Eric Fierro, my travel coach Brian Wolchok, and all of my teammates for helping me get where I’m at today.
