Joe DeLasho has company.

DeLasho, a midfielder and faceoff specialist, committed to Fairfield University just under a year ago.

Now, Fordham Prep (N.Y.) has another Class of 2014 commit.

Jack Lee has verbally committed to Division III power Williams, a commitment that was first reported when it was made on July 29 by Joe Lombardi on LaxLessons.com’s “Lacrosse Insider” section.

A two-way midfielder, Lee is an effective shooter on the run who possesses good athleticism. He started playing the sport just four years ago after his friends urged him to drop baseball and pick up lacrosse. He is a transfer from the Taft School (Conn.).

recruiting_updateNow, here’s a Q&A with Jack on his commitment.

What were the main factors in your decision?
I wanted to attend a highly selective institution and be able to play competitive lacrosse at the same time. Williams combined both in my mind. After visiting with (Williams Head) Coach (George) McCormack and his staff, as well as talking with players on the team, I knew Williams would be a great fit.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
I considered and visited multiple schools in the Ivy, NESCAC and Patriot league.

What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
My strengths as a player are my lefty shot on the run and athleticism. I consider myself a two-way midfielder, and with the new college rules, I believe my skill set will thrive.

What area of your game do you need to work on?
I would like to work on all aspects of my game. To be specific, I want to improve my time and room shot.

How did you get introduced to lacrosse and what other sports have you played?
I began playing lacrosse in eighth grade mainly because all of my friends had started to play. Coming from baseball, I loved the competitive nature and speed the game had. I have played football as well as recreational basketball.

What travel team do you play on what showcase events did you participate in?
I played on the Long Island Sting this past summer. With the Sting, I participated in the Baltimore Summer Kickoff, Under Armour Shootout Hotbeds, and Legacy Invitational. Individually, I participated in the Prep School Showcase.

Any final thoughts?
I would like to thank my family, friends and coaches for always supporting me. Specifically, Bob Garry from LMYL (Larchmont Mamaroneck Youth Lacrosse), Ken Miller from the Sting, Casey D’Annolfo from the Taft School, and my coaches at Fordham Prep, Justin Henry, Len DeLucia and Ryan Gorup. Lastly, I would like to thank my teammates. It’s always a blast and you have all made me a better lacrosse player.
