When it comes to lacrosse hotbeds, the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut tristate region is, of course, No. 1.
So now that National Letter of Intent Fall Signing Week, which runs from Nov. 14-21, is upon us, the question is: What college is No. 1 when it comes to landing commitments from tristate seniors?
The answer is a college that has not yet fielded a men’s lacrosse team at the Division I level.
It’s the soon-to-launch program at Boston University, which has landed 11 commitments from tristate seniors.
That’s one of the main storylines as we present a complete college-by-college breakdown with Division I- and Division II-bound players preparing to turn their verbal commitments into binding NLIs.
NLIs must be attached to athletic scholarships. Nevertheless, we are including all D-I-and D-II senior commits seniors in the breakdown, including those bound for conferences such as the Ivy League, Patriot League and military academies — all of which do not award athletic scholarships.
We welcome submissions of Signing Week photos for publication on LaxLessons.com. Send them to info@laxlessons.com. Also, be sure to contact us if you have any additions for this list.
