The Nassau County Class B semifinals, set for this Tuesdsay and Wednesday at Hofstra, feature quite a foursome: defending New York state champion Garden City; Manhasset, which beat GC this season in the Woodstick Classic; Long Beach, which features arguably the most dominant offensive player on Long Island; and Cinderella North Shore, which played in Class C last season.

It should be interesting.

Joe Lombardi looks at that and has info on a father vs. son playoff meeting in Connecticut in the latest “Lombardi on Lacrosse” column for MSGVarsity.com.

Among other teams included: Garden City, Shoreham-Wading River, St. A’s, Chaminade, Lakeland/Panas, Rye, Clarkstown South, Yorktown, Don Bosco, Seton Hall Prep, Bergen Catholic, Darien, Greenwich, Staples, Ridgefield, New Canaan and Weston.
