Here we go.

There have been a handful of season-opening games the last few days in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut tristate region the last few days, but the 2013 varsity lacrosse season starts in earnest this week with a marquee matchup getting things going on Tuesday, March 19.

    Section 1 preseason Rankings all classes

    1. Yorktown – early game with Jay will set tone
    2. John Jay – same as above
    3. Bronxville – roster littered with D-1 comits
    4. Lakeland/Panas – class “A” is deep wont be easy
    5. Somers – class “B” tough
    6. Mahopac – looking to bring back tridition
    7. Hen Hud – sleeper a lot of young talent
    8. Mamaroneck – wont be easy to repeat
    9. Rye – underated, weak league
    10.Suffern – love coach McNally
    Watch list: Clarkstown South, Harrison, Arlington, Pearl River

    Not a bad list at all…maybe a few minor changes here and there but all the usual suspects accounted for. I might put Brewster on that watch list in front of some of those other teams though.

    Kind of like the list (but definately missed Brewster) but too early and don’t know enough other then to group in certain cases(IN NO ORDER)
    Town
    Jay/Bronxville
    LP, Pac, Somers, Mamo
    Rye, Suffern, Brewster, Arlington.
    Greely, Clarkstown South, Byram Hills , Hen Hud, Put Valley
