Considering who tried out. A pretty good team.
Very, Very Good on face-offs. Big strong defense. execellent goalies. Middies are both offensive and defensive. Attack is a bit Raw!! They will also be well coached.Interesting to see how they stack up. Good Luck to this group and hope this cup thing is succesful!!

Good to see the graduating seniors want to be a part of representing the region.

      • NYC Grew to Include LI? says:

when did NYC include Long Island? Would like to know what connection the boys from St. Anthony’s and Chaminade have to NYC? Do they live in NYC?

I guess NYC is tired of getting trounced.

        • slacrosse says:

Believe any kid from NY can try out for either team. Looks like could be a lot better team then all previous NYC teams that played in the Empire Games and were the door mat for the rest.

          • NYC Grew to Include LI? says:

Thats seems to be the case as the FAQ’s indicates that anyone can tryout for any region so long as their schedules don’t conflict.LOL-Should be good competition now!

  2. Question says:

Are the Don Bosco kids from Rockland?

  3. Sir laxalot says:

Looks like a strong team howwever Not sure if they match up well with L.I.

How come you never see W.I play C.C.?

    • Lax Novice says:

Because the Suffolk A league requires 14 games out of a total of 16. Their out of league games are against Chaminade and Ridgewood, NJ. Of course for NYS purposes they are Class A and Garden City is Class B, assuming you meant GC there.

It seems there are quite a few HS graduates on the roster listed above. It’s fun to play summer tournaments, but wasn’t this supposed to be a recruiting showcase to replace the late Empire State Games?

Thanks Yes I did mean G.C.
