Spring has sprung, but Old Man Winter didn’t get the memo.

A quick-moving storm system will sweep through the area overnight Sunday into Monday, bringing up to 4 inches of snowfall to the tristate region.

And that’s no April Fool’s Day joke.

The timing of the storm is expected to result in result in numerous school closures, and thereby, wiping out scheduled lacrosse games and practices for weather-weary teams.

Showers and rain are expected Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday will be sunny, but cold, with a high in the low- to mid-40s both days. And believe it or not, there’s another chance of some more snow overnight Friday into Saturday before temps rise into the 40s in the afternoon.
