Binghamton continues to bring in Long Island recruits.

The Bearcats’ latest commitment comes from Suffolk.

Faceoff specialist Jack Sullivan, who is entering his third varsity season at Rocky Point High School, has verballed to Binghamton.

Binghamton now has reeled in eight tristate 2015 verbals, with seven of them coming from Long Island.

The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Sullivan brings a lunch-pail work ethic to the game, allowing him to contribute beyond the faceoff X.

recruiting_updateNow, here’s a Q&A with Jack on his commitment.

What were the main factors in your decision?
It seemed like a good fit for myself.  I wanted to be a part of this growing program, which is only going to get better. The  coaches were really nice and were patient with me in my decision. And I could see myself going to that school even if I was not playing a sport there.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
Marquette, Fairfield, Ppenn, Lehigh and Colgate.

What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
I’m a strong faceoff middie, can also play all-around midfield and I would describe myself as a down in the dirt, blue-collar player.

What area of your game do you need to work on?
My offense skills and stick skills.

How did you get introduced to lacrosse and what other sports have you played?
Youth program and my high school of Rocky Point. I also play football and have done wrestling.

What travel team do you play on what showcase events did you participate in?
Played on the 2015 Long Island Express Orange team and Rocky Point Swag. I participated in the Nassau vs. Suffolk Showcase the past two years and the Maverick Showtime Showcase and the Philly Showcase this summer.

Any final thoughts?
I would like to thank my parents for always getting me to where I needed to go and getting equipment I needed and always supporting my in my decisions. Also my Express Team coach, Mike Schwalje, for making me a better player.

Also Tom and Kathy Palasek for helping me get noticed by colleges and my high school coaches, Mike Bowler  and Chris Nentwich, for giving me the opportunities to show my skills.
