It was an event that has forever altered the nation and the world.

Sunday marks the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

It is a day to reflect, and a day to remember those who were lost, including those with ties to the lacrosse world.

Here are some of those stories:

* US Lacrosse Remembers 9/11

* Eamon McEneaney’s legacy lives on

* Remembering Cornell’s ‘Wild Irish Rose’

* Boston College honors ‘Red Bandanna’ hero

* The Man in the Red Bandanna

The 9/11 attacks also profoundly affected sports world. I have some thoughts on that aspect of the 9/11 anniversary that you can check out by clicking here.
