The final game of tonight’s tripleheader has just gone final as the 31-year-old Sound Shore League crowned champions in each of its three adult men’s divisions at Purchase College.

The marquee game of the night, which started at 8:15 p.m., was the Division 1 final. It featured the top players out of John Jay High School the last few years in the form of the top-seeded Prime Time team taking on the best players from Darien High School during that span representing the second-seeded Goose Bar and Grill squad. Prime Time pulled out a 7-6 win.

Here are all of tonight’s finals:

Division 1
No. 1 Prime Time 7, No. 2 Goose Bar and Grill 6

Division 2
No. 2 Husked Corn 11, No. 1 Haligan’s Publik House 4

Division 3
No. 7 Crown Trophy 4, No. 9 Michael’s Tavern 2

Here, once again, are the finals of the three games played yesterday:

Westchester varsity (at Purchase College)
No. 2 Scarsdale 8, No. 1 White Plains 4

Masters
No. 1 Lurkers 10,  No. 2 Gargoyle Athletics 5

Rockland varsity (at Suffern Middle School)
No. 1 Hurricanes 1, No. 2 Pine Bush 0 (Forfeit win for the Hurricanes)

Way to step up in goal Connor S.!!!

Publik House had a push in the back on a Husked Corn player AFTER the whistle and all hell broke lose…bench clearing brawl lasted for about 1-2 mins. It was interesting. Not sure whom the player/coach was for Husked Corn, but I think he was out of line with some taunting that he did towards Chuck Cohen and Chuck wasnt even refing the game…moving on, Husked Corn belongs in D1(as long as their core guys show up week in/week out) next year, for them to play in D2 will be a bit of a waste.

PrimeTime vs Goose was a good game, didnt pay too much attention.

Crown Trohy 4 Michaels Tavern 2

Crown Goals: Brett Miranda 2, Joe Variano 2
Crown Assists: JoJo Marasco 2, Brett Miranda 1
    Crown Saves: Chris Longo 10

Michaels Tavern Goals: Billy Locher 1, Dan DeRosa 1
    Michaels Tavern Assists: none
Michaels Tavern Saves: Paddy Reynolds 17

Before ppl ask why JoJo was able to play for Crown, you ARE allowed to play on 1 team PER division…if the other team you play for makes the finals, you ARE allowed to play in both final games.

Onto the game, very good defensively, both goalie played well, Chris Longo for Crown made some nice saves, and KUDOS for Michaels Tavern goalie Paddy Reynolds who made a total of 17 saves, 4 of which were point blank, and he played amazing…kept his team in the game…late unsportsmanslike penalty hurt Michaels where they could of used possesion of the ball.

MVP of game in my mind were Brett Miranda and Paddy Reynolds.

Crown Trophy are 2-Time Champs for D3…not sure if they want a 3-PEAT for move up to D2
