Johns Hopkins is in, extending its streak of consecutive NCAA tournament appearances to an NCAA record 39 straight year. Loyola is also in. And Hofstra, too.

Those are among the headlines as the seedings and selections for the NCAA Division I men’s tournament were just unveiled. Seedings and selections for Divisions II and III were also announced.

With Mount St. Mary’s unlikely run to a MAAC championship, four teams from Maryland comprise the 16-team D-I tournament. For more on that, click here.

  1. Observer says:

It’s wide open. Defending champ Syracuse has plateaued the last few weeks – injuries? Virginia, the #1 overall seed, has to deal with the terrible tragedy there. Either of those teams or 4 or 5 other teams could win it all.

  2. BigBadBear says:

‘Cuse has a much better draw than UVA…Hop vs Duke bad first round match up for the Jays, Hop weakness at d middie might get quickly exposed against the Blue Devils. If Duke wins they get UVA likley…how many times those teams gonna face each other?
