    Froccaro injured and not playing.

English, White, & Marasco – now THAT is an attack line!!

Joe: Saw the below write-up on the Inside Lacrosse high school blog page. Have you heard anything about the Hudson Valley team ? Thanks for any info you can provide !

With the New York Empire games no more, groups have been looking to fill the vacuum left in the state’s lacrosse recruiting calendar. So far two major events have popped up. First is the New York Shootout – Presented by Nike. The Tournament will be in a Empire Games style, pitting six NY regions- Buffalo (Sec. 6), Albany/St. Lawrence (Sec. 2&10), Rochester (Sec. 5), Hudson Valley (Sec. 1&9), Central (Sec. 3), Nassau (Sec. 8), Suffolk (Sec. 1) and Southern Tier (4). The event is currently scheduled for Sat. July 25 at Henninger HS in Syracuse, N.Y.

Does anyone on this site plan on attending the UA AA games?

  4. Joe Lombardi says:

    Hi Terry –

I did hear about this when it was formed, but don’t know if anything has been finalized regarding the set up of the teams from sections 1, 9, 8 and 11. If anyone has any info, please pass it along.

  5. Taz says:

Guess I have no life – I’m going.

  6. Taz says:

But only the AA game Sat. night – not the underclass games.

  7. LAX says:

Apparently Cole McCormick is impressing at the Nike Blue Chip Camp, is anyone else from section 1 playing there?

  8. RED RAGE says:

Good luck tonight JoJo! Make us proud! We’ll all be watching on ESPNU.

  9. TownLax says:

Best of luck to Fenn and Ran as well and all the other guys playing I’ve heard so many good things about all year on this blog.

Was at Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip at UMBC. McCormack from Rye did well on FO’s and scored some goals.

Problem was no rosters given out except to coaches so only could do helmets. Did identify helmets from Darien, St. Anthonys, Chaminade, CSH, Manhassat (I think).

Anyone know names of any other kids that were there??

  11. section1lax says:

Mike Daniello and Billy Pray both attended the Jake Reed camp at UMBC and from what I heard, both did well. Billy scored 3 goals in one game and was impressive with his size, and I heard Mike D. was one of the most dominant attackmen out of the rising juniors. Both should get some excellent looks.

    section1lax,

Thanks for identifying the Jay players. Good to hear they got strong reports. Real coup for MD to go as a rising Junior.

Not having rosters was a huge pain. Wish I could have picked their helmets out and certainly would have concentrated on them.

  13. slacrosse says:

    section1lax,

And for Pray as well as another rising junior.

Here’s an update on the New York Shootout – Presented by Nike, scheduled for July 25 at Henninger High School in Syracuse.

I have learned the tryout for Hudson Valley players (sections 1 and 9) will be tomorrow at Yorktown High School and will feature players invited to attend based on the recommendations of their coaches. Nassau (Section 8 ) and Suffolk (Section 11) have already held tryouts.

Other teams will be from Albany/St. Lawrence (Sections 2 & 10), Buffalo (Setion 6), Rochester (Section 5), Central (Section 3) and Southern Tier (Section 4).
