That’s the question Joe Lombardi asks in his weekly column on tristate lax for InsideLacrosse.com.

Right now, it’s a heated race between Delbarton (N.J.), Chaminade (N.Y.), St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) and Don Bosco Prep (N.J.).

Joe had three separate commit updates yesterday at Twitter.com/joe_lombardi that had big  impacts on that unofficial recruiting race:

* Chaminade (N.Y.) rising senior midfielder JJ McDaid opted for coach Richie Meade’s new program at Furman.

* St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) rising senior defenseman Dominick Calisto’s verballed to Boston University.

* Two rising seniors from Delbarton (N.J.) made commitments: midfielders Dillon Confalone (Lafayette) and Austin Sayre (Colby).

Be sure to check back to LaxLessons.com/blog for more on those commitments.

I can’t speak for the other three teams, but Chaminade has a few guys who have committed but aren’t on the list yet, like Tim Burke (Dartmouth), Tim O’Brien (Holy Cross), and Joe Stone (Furman). So Chaminade actually has 14 commits from the 2013 class. Also, O’Connell (Villanova) will do a postgrad year, so he will matriculate the same year as the 2013s.

Oh also I forgot Chris Comerford (Washington & Lee). So including O’Connell, Chaminade has 16, of which 14 are going D-1. Pretty impressive.

Geez between them St. A’s and Nade have like 25 committed players. Impressive.
