We are set to start what promises to be an eventful week.

When it ends, we will be at the halfway point of the regular season.

The day is highlighted by a big Rockland County showdown between two of the top teams in the county.

North Rockland is 5-2, with both of its losses by one goal (to Byram Hills and Weston in overtime).

Suffern is 2-2, with losses to John Jay and Fox Lane.

The teams meet at 4:15 p.m. at Suffern Middle School.

In a Section 1 vs. Section 9 matchup, Tappan Zee (6-1), which suffered its first loss in its last game (against Brewster), hosts Warwick.

On Long Island, Comsewogue, one of the region’s biggest surprises at 7-0, plays at Kings Park.

Rocky Point, off to a 5-2 start after a sub-par three-win season last year, hosts Huntington.

In Connecticut, St. Joseph-Trumbull plays at Fairfield-Warde.

Needless to say, there are many other games in the tristate region today. Scroll down to check the links to access the complete schedules. But if there’s a game you think we should have noted, by all means, be sure to post the info ASAP on the “Comments” portion of this thread.

Don’t forget to check in with in-game updates and final scores from the field with your mobile devices. You can post them directly as comments on this thread, or, if it’s easier, email them to us at info@laxlessons.com.

With the season rapidly approaching the midway point, we’d like to know which team you think has been the biggest surprise in the tristate area thus far this season.

  1. The Rock says:

    Prediction: North Rockland 8, Suffern 7 … OT …

  2. Relax says:

    Bville 4 M-neck 0 after 1st Very Sloppy

  3. The Rock says:

    Suffern up 4-3 at half

  4. Relax says:

9-1 Bville at half. M-neck’s goalie put the ball in his own net for the last goal of the half. M-neck’s D is no match for Bville O. Especially the close D. They would be much better off playing a zone. Or at least sucking in their D. H. Gras is having his way w/ the close D. M-neck graduated all the good D-men that made this a match last yr. Bville’s O especially attack/Gras bros are dominant as I right this the younger one makes it 10-1

  5. Relax says:

Jack Gras scores to make it 13-4 w/ 10mins left. He’s had 2 unreal rips to high corners has 4 goals or more. Bville uses him well always has the ball. He scores again to make it 14-5. Any team that plays Bville going to have to blanket the Hopkins Bound BlueChipper. Meant to say J. GRAS in the last post as the one having his way w/ the Tiger D. Think he has 5 goals at least

  6. Relax says:

15-7 Final M-neck played Bville to a tie in the 2nd half. Something to build on. They definitely need to work on their close D. Bville’s an attack driven team w/ speed at midfield. Good O, but D needs work. Especially when they go up against better teams. Have to stop J. GRAS or at least try to contain him

    • Geepers says:

Something to build on? It’s call taking your foot off the gas, after leading by 8 at the half.

It’s called domination, followed by good sportsmanship.

  7. LaxLessons.com says:

Tom Cirillo had nine goals in Eastchester’s 12-10 loss to Pelham, giving him a school-record 143 for his career.

  8. Pops says:

Rocky Point wins 9-3 over Huntington..
