Marist has a new head coach.

Keegan Wilkinson, the Red Foxes’ top assistant for the last four years, has been tabbed to take over the school’s men’s lax program.

Wilkinson takes over for Scott Nelson, who accepted the head-coaching job at Binghamton in mid-May.

Nelson was named 2011 MAAC coach of the year after leading the Red Foxes to their second straight winning season.

Prior to his arrival at Marist, Nelson served as head coach at Brown University and Nazareth College.

Wilkinson was a four-year starting attackman at St. Joseph’s University, attended DeMatha High School in Maryland.

Located in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Marist perennially targets recruits from the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region.
