Haverford’s Will McNamara battles Darien’s Brandon Coley during the host Fords’ 11-5 victory at the third annual Checking for Cancer Classic in Hanover, Pa., on April 18.

The high school season is now over everywhere, with the final round of state title games held this past weekend in the few remaining states that hadn’t wrapped up the year, including Massachusetts.

So now’s a good time to run down the national rankings that have been released so far.

The consensus No. 1 team – to no one’s surprise – is unbeaten Haverford.

Haverford drew the top spot in both the LaxPower.com and MaxPreps.com final national rankings.

LaxMagazine.com and Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse have not yet released their final rankings.

Who do you think was the top team in the nation’s No. 1 hotbed for lacrosse, the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region for the 2011 season? Be sure to weigh in with your thoughts here and exercise or your right to vote in our most recent poll.
