It’s perhaps the premier lax extravaganza of the calendar year. Men’s and women’s teams of all age groups — from U-15 to Masters — converging on scenic Lake Placid in upstate New York for a week of non-stop lacrosse, better known as the 21st annual Lake Placid Summit Lacrosse Classic.

Last year, a Dream Team of former Syracuse stars that included Roy Colsey, Ric Beardsley, Rob Kavovit, the Powell brothers and Paul Carcaterra was one of the premier attractions.
The team, called Burnt Orange advanced to the championship (of course), but lost to Rusty Red 12-10 in Division 1 of the masters competition. Colsey had four goals for Burnt Orange.
Should be lots of interesting action again this year.
