Yorktown and Chaminade meet for the first time since Yorktown beat the Flyers 12-8 last season to deal ‘Nade its first loss of the season.
The Huskers check in at 8-2. Chaminade (8-0) is coming off an overtime win against rival St. Anthony’s.
Game time is 1 p.m. at Chaminade’s new Ott Stadium.
Also on Long Island, Manhasset (5-5) will look to get its third straight team against Lynbrook (10-1), whose lone loss was against defending Nassau Class C champion Friends.
Three-time Section 1 Class C champion Bronxville, a 2013 state finalist, plays red-hot Sachem North at 2 p.m. at the Louis Acompora Tournament at Northport. The other tournament games are Islip-Harborfields at 10 a.m., Comsewogue-Elwood John Glenn at noon and Sachem East vs. Northport at 4 p.m.
Louis Acompora died at age 14 in March 2000 after a blow to his chest while playing lacrosse during his first high school game.
In another interesting Westchester vs. Long Island game:,Somers (8-4) plays at Kellenberg (6-6) at 2 p.m.
In Suffolk, Mount Sinai and Shoreham-Wading River renew their rivalry.
Lakeland/Panas (8-2) and Greenwich (6-1) continue their NY vs. CT series at GHS.
In New Jersey, Ridge (7-3) visits Bridgewater-Raritan (6-4), Ridgewood (6-4) hosts Somerville (8-0), Don Bosco Prep visits Mountain Lakes, and Westfield, which has lost tight games to Mendham, Chatham, Ridgewood and Summit, faces Seton Hall Prep (7-2).
In an NJ vs. CT battle, Delbarton (7-2) hosts Fairfield Prep (5-1), fresh off a one-goal win over previously undefeated Greenwich.
John Jay visits New Fairfield in a 7 p.m. NY vs. CT clash.
