It will be quite a week in the tristate with sectional and conference championship tournaments in New York and Connecticut and state tournament play on the menu in New Jersey.
State tourney play continues today in New Jersey. Among the second-round games, No. 7-seeded St. Peter’s Prep plays at No. 10 St. Joseph’s-Metuchen in a Non-Public A state tourney game.
The New York State Association of Independent Schools Athletic Association Tournament has moved on to the semifinals.
No. 1 Hackley, which defeated Riverdale 13-4 in yesterday’s quarterfinals, hosts No. 5 Fieldston, a 13-11 quarterfinal winner over Rye Country Day.
In the other semifinal, No. 2 Trinity, which won its quarterfinal 12-4 against Long Island Lutheran, hosts No. 6 Poly Prep, a 7-6 quarterfinal-round winner over No. 3 Dalton.
