Congrat’s Nick on a great accomplishment! What are the odds that you do that against my team 22 years later?? And congrat’s to Yorktown on a hard fought and well deserved win…looking forward to doing it again next year. “Get off the Island” and get that title…..!

        • rlaxfamily says:

Roy, you are a great guy, this is a nice post for this young and talented man to read (and for all current laxers). So many young players look up to you and your lacrosse accomplishments, it’s nice that they can see you as great man and coach who has strong character, a solid role model. Great game last night, two solid programs. So much to be proud of. And best to both teams as they move forward.

  36. Sailors Fan says:

Anybody have a score from the Somers Pac game?

  37. Albany Post Road says:

Nice job by Hen Hud… Game today won the league title for the Sailors… Only losses have been to Ytown and JJ.

    • slacrosse says:

Maybe best chance to upset Bville. Win lots of FO and then play VERY “deliberately”.

    • ? says:

The sailors have NOT clinched any title. If they win out they will, if they lose 1 game and Arlington and Brewster all go 3-1, then all 3 share the league title. They have to beat Brewster to win it outright!

  38. Rye Guy says:

    Rye 9, Pleasantville 8 ..OT

  39. Old Rugger says:

OK, I’ve drunk the coolaide. First Chaminade then Ridgefield, Both of those teams will probably win their respective leagues. This Town team looks to be one of the better ones in a while. If I were Nisky, GC, Wogue I’d be looking for that Shen tape to see what happened. These guys have a legit chance at States.

  40. Sec1 says:

    Old Rugger,
What they would see on that tape is a Town Team that played poorly all over the field, against a solid Shen Team.
There has only been one Town Team that went undefeated ( 73 ) Town has had many one and two loss Teams and went to the Finals 12 times coming away with 6 State Titles. This Town Team is well balanced with second options on O and one of there best D’s in along while. It’s still a long rd to the Finals, win the Sec beat most likely Nisky beat the LI and then most likely Jamesville Dewitt, a tall task, I think they can.

    • South of 287 says:

Town has a very stout D this year, balance in line-up and some team toughness as witnessed in the 50/50 ground ball battles.

Watching Nade game last night, Mariano has a great lefty rip, but teams will just force him high and wide (or make him use his other hand) if they watch any tape, which Nade seemed to prior.

O has great off ball movement. They have 5 or 6 guys to put it in the back of the cage and a strong FO tandem. They have a legit chance but Nisky is very strong, LI Class B champ will be very strong and J-D is very strong this year. Should be fun to watch – great HS Lax!

    • slacrosse says:

It won’t be easy but Town is an elite team and so has as good a chance as any other team mentioned to win the state crown.

  41. humm says:

    South of 287
Game plan played right into Yorktown hands.Tried stopping one guy and others will step up.I guess last nights team didn’t look at tape. And if you think most of these kids can only go one way come to some more games.

    • South of 287 says:

Ridgefield plays zone so no 1v1 match ups. The Close D from Nade covering Mariano is a D1 recruit. As I stated Town has balance, depth, good off ball flow and 5 or 6 fuys who can score. Very impressive TEAM performance against Nade.
