The FCIAC champion Darien boys lacrosse team has been busy both on and off the field the last few months.

Working through America Supporting Americans, the Blue Wave in May adopted Delta Company, an Airborne unit comprised of 80 soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. Coach Jeff Brameier and his team wrote letters to the soldiers and sent them care packages weighing more than 300 pounds.

The bond with Delta Company continued onto the playing field. The Blue Wave players wore the Delta Company’s crest on their helmets.
