Who’s No. 1 in Connecticut?

According to the final New Haven Register poll of the season, it’s Wilton.

The Warriors, of course, ended Darien’s run of six straight Class M state titles with an 11-3 state semi win before beating New Canaan 12-2 in the final during a season in which Villanova-bound Mike Francia (above) became the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Wilton finished with six first-place votes, compared to five for Darien and three for Ridgefield.
