Nine players from the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region accounted for the 44 players selected to compete in last year’s Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, which was played on June 28 at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.

The South outlasted the North 19-16 before 2,364 fans and a national television audience.

There should be a large contingent of regional standouts involved once again this year.

This year’s game is set for July 3.

But the first step is getting nominated.
