Nine players from the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region accounted for the 44 players selected to compete in last year’s Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic, which was played on June 28 at Towson Universitys Johnny Unitas Stadium.
The South outlasted the North 19-16 before 2,364 fans and a national television audience.
There should be a large contingent of regional standouts involved once again this year.
This year’s game is set for July 3.
But the first step is getting nominated.

By the way, those nine regional stars were Ian Braddish (West Islip), Connor English (Manhasset), John Fennessy (Yorktown), Jeff Frocarro (Port Washington), Joe Marasco (Somers), Steven Murphy (Floyd), Nick OReilly (South Side), John Ranagan (Yorktown) and Matt White (Ridgefield).
