  1. Joe Lombardi says:

Somers two-time all-America attackman/midfielder JoJo Marasco has just made his Syracuse debut against Navy in the six-team Navy fall tournament in Annapolis.

Marasco, did not start, but is playing quite a bit in the first half. The first shot of his SU career was a good one, but Navy goalie Mike Haas made a nice save.

Syracuse, Georgetown, Harvard, Hobart, Penn State and Navy make up the field.

Syracuse leads Navy 4-2 at the half.

  3. Joe Lombardi says:

    ‘Cuse leads 7-2 after three.

  4. Joe Lombardi says:

Navy has scored to start the fourth quarter. SU now leads 7-3.

    Final: Syracuse 7, Navy 4

    any stats on jojo??

  7. Joe Lombardi says:

JoJo did not score vs. Navy. He had his first collegiate goal against Harvard later in the day. An attackman/midfielder, Marasco saw a good deal of time at midfield. Syracuse lost to Harvard. I don’t have the score. Syracuse played its subs quite a bit in that one.

John Jay grad Chris Daniello, a team captain, played on Syracuse’s first attack line. Another former All-American for John Jay, Kevin Drew, is a d-middie for the Orange.

It should also be noted that Syracuse were without perhaps their two best offensive players in Keogh and Jamieson because of international team tryouts.

Just a reminder, folks. As we told you late last month, the inaugural Connecticut Cup is set for Sunday (Oct. 18) at Yale. It’s a five-team fall-ball event featuring the Nutmeg State’s five D-I programs.

Jojo is in there and Daniello looked good, from what I hear Chris was one one of the most impressive.
