Led by Myles Jones of Duke, a former star at Walt Whitman HS in Suffolk County (NY), players from the tristate area were as prevalent as always in this past weekend’s Major League Lacrosse Draft.

Jones was selected with the first pick by the Atlanta Blaze.

The final pick in the draft, Rutgers attackman Scott Bieda, who was selected by the New York Lizards with the 70th pick, played his high school lacrosse at Bridgewater-Raritan (NJ).

Former Pelham High School (NY) standout Matt Landis, a defenseman at Notre Dame, was taken with the third pick by the Florida Launch.
