There were a couple of double-overtime thrillers in New Jersey as Chatham outlasted Summit and Don Bosco Prep beat Glen Ridge.
A Hudson Valley (NY) player scored a tristate best nine goals (Tyler Pollack in Tappan Zee’s 14-5 win over Carmel).
On Long Island, St. Anthony’s picked up its first win, Farmingdale, Smithtown East and Garden City maintained their win streaks, and North beat East in a battle of the Sachems.

A pair of defending Section 1 (NY) champions collide as Yorktown visits Bronxville. Bronxville survived a scare from another defending sectional champ, Mamaroneck, before losing to Bridgewater-Raritan (NJ). Game-time is 4:30 p.m. at Bronxville.
In another matchup of defending champions, 2013 CHSAA (NY) Class AA winner Fordham Prep plays at defending Class AAA champion Chaminade at 4:30 p.m. at Ott Field in Mineola.
Fordham Prep is riding high at 3-0 with a breakthrough win over Gonzaga (DC) while ‘Nade has already notched wins over two of the Island’s top public schools: Ward Melville and Massapequa.
Out East, Elwood-John Glenn plays at Shoreham-Wading River in a clash of two of the top programs in Suffolk (NY).
In the prep ranks, Rye Country Day (NY) plays at Hamden Call (CT). The teams played to a 7-5 game last year (RCDS won), and this year’s meeting should be every bit as close. Also of note, Trinity-Pawling (NY) plays at Loomis Chaffee (CT).
In New Jersey, Moorestown plays at Ridge. Both teams are coming off stellar seasons and off to strong starts.
