It’s Round 2 in one of the tristate’s top Catholic school rivalries.

LL_Game-Day-CROPPED16Iona Prep (10-2) plays at Fordham Prep (10-5) in a 6 p.m. game that is a rematch of a 5-4 overtime thriller won by Iona on April 2. The teams’ previous game was also decided by one goal as the Gaels again prevailed, beating Fordham 10-9 in the CHSAA AA final.

The teams are locked into a matchup May 24 at Manhattan College for the CHSAA title.

The Iona vs. Fordham JV game (set for 4 p.m. at Fordham) and varsity contest will be fundraisers for the Wounded Warrior Project.

In Section 1, defending Section 1 Class A champion Mamaroneck (8-3) visits White Plains (7-4) at 4:30 p.m. and Somers plays at Horace Greeley at 4:45 p.m. and Pelham meets Bronxville at 4:30 p.m. at Glover Field. North Salem (6-5), coming off a 12-0 win over Kennedy Catholic, visits Haldane.

The Section 11 schedule includes a 7 p.m. game between host Comsewogue (12-1) and Harborfields (5-8).

Among Section 8 games, Manhasset hosts Floral Park at 5 p.m.

In Connecticut, Ridgefield (9-1) looks to rebounds from its first loss of the season when it plays at Brien McMahon (6-4) in Norwalk at 7 p.m. Also of note, Guilford (9-2) visits Amity (5-4) at 4 p.m.

New Jersey action includes a contest between Cranford and host Governor Livingston.
