It will be quite a week for Yorktown.

The Huskers, who upset the nation’s consensus No. 2-ranked team, Chaminade, yesterday end the week by playing in the 24th annual Charlie Murphy Cup game bagainst Lakeland/Panas. The game is set for Saturday, May 4 at 4 p.m. at Yorktown High School.

Here’s a look at the all-time scores of the Murphy Cup since the game was named to honor the co-founder of the Yorktown program, whose home (above) in the west end of town became a gathering place for generations of Yorktown players.

    1. Will be very interested to see how Ytown attacks that Ridgefield zone and how the FOs’ match up.
    2. While a strong year for Town and a weak year for Lakeland you would say mismatch, and I think it will be but not until the second half as emotion will last a while for lakeland before Towns skill takes over.

    Face offs will be a lot(Town) to a little(Lakeland)….oops, Lakeland-Panas. I forgot they are 2 high schools combined.:)
