Among 12 games in Suffolk County, defending New York Class C state champion Shoreham-Wading River plays at Islip at 4:30 p.m.

In the CHSAA, Fordham Prep visits Archbishop Stepinac in White Plains, N.Y., and Iona Prep visits Mount St. Michael.

  1. CT Lax says:

Darien really needs a win today after the tough losses vs. Set and Nisky.

  2. I-95 Lax says:

I’m going to go with Darien winning 9-7.

  3. WestLax says:

If Arlington wins today against Somers I put them at the top of Class “A”. Somers has played some tough teams out of conference so they should be battle tested. Should be a great game. Somers 10 Arlington 9.

Can someone tell me the scheduling rationale in Rye’s particular League requiring teams to play each other twice?–dont think that’s the case in other Section 1 Leagues??

        • slacrosse says:

A note to above. I tend to be more conservative/harder on my own Rye team. They also have a very good goalie and some top offensive and defensive players that IMO can play with the best in Section 1. They’ve played really well against LP and Greeley and not so well/uneven vs Fox and Pville (credit to those teams as well). Probably would have notched Rye up had those been stronger all-around wins.
