It’s been a sweet week for SweetLax.

If you’ve been following Twitter.com/joe_lombardi, you know that the travel program has had three Division I commitments in just over 24 hours.

Matt Kaser is among the trio.

The senior attackman/midfielder from Spencerport High School (N.Y.) in the Rochester area committed to Binghamton University.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound right-hander, who is also a hockey standout, has outstanding stick skills, a high lacrosse IQ and is adept at creating scoring opportunities for both himself and his teammates.

Now, here’s a Q&A with Matt on his commitment.

kaserWhat were the main factors in your decision?
As soon as I stepped on campus, I fell in love with the layout and close-knit society of Binghamton. The team was very close and the coaches seemed to have a great philosophy towards the game.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
I was considering Hofstra, Tampa, Merrimack and Binghamton. I visited Merrimack and Binghamton.

What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
I am very good at creating opportunities for my teammates and finding the open man off dodges.

I would describe myself as a determined player that feeds off the competitiveness and hype of the game.

How did you get introduced to lacrosse and what other sports have you played?
My uncle and his family were very involved with the high school program from their school and immediately got me involved with lacrosse. Hockey was my first love before lacrosse and I also played soccer for a couple of years when I was younger.

Who have been some of the biggest influences on you during your development as a player?
First, one of my old hockey coaches, Jay Kirk, who taught me perseverance and loyalty.

Also Ryan Maciaszek, a former coach, and my fellow teammates have influenced me greatly by always giving me great competition and motivation.

What travel team did you play on and what were some of the big showcase events you participated in last summer?
I played on SweetLax and FCA NorthEast Elite this past summer. I played in the Empire State Games, Blue Chip 225, Gait Cup and Brogden Cup where I had unforgettable experiences.
