First weekend of College lacrosse saw a lot of local flavor; 1st game I saw was Siena vs. JH obvious players like Ranagan excelled in victory but Conner Prunty (L/P) lit the lamp 4 times on 5 shots. Duke played 2 this weekend and Case Matheis saw his first college action in a tough loss to Denver but came back in the 2nd game with a goal and 2 assists in Duke’s 21-9 blow out of Jacksonville. The game of the weekend may have been Colgate’s 13-12 OT win over Bryant (Bryant will be around in late May) Colin Dunster(Greenwich, CT.) had a monster 2nd half. Rutgers rolled Manhattan 15-6 where Clarkstown South’s Kris Alleyne got his first of many NCAA wins. Looks like the college landscape is littered with local talent good luck to all.
