Noah Starr is equally effective as a feeder and finisher.

The end result is an attackman whose skill set predicts success at the next level.

So it should come as no surprise that the Jericho High School (N.Y.) senior will be headed to Haverford College.

Now, here’s a Q&A with Noah on his commitment.

What were the main factors in your decision?
Once I walked onto the Haverford campus, I knew this is where I wanted to be. It had everything; great academics, a great lacrosse team and it is right near a major city.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
I was also considering Bates College, Bowdoin College, Oberlin College, Vassar College, Union College and Swarthmore. I visited all of these schools except Oberlin.

What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
I have a very high lacrosse IQ. I am a great distributor of the ball and make everyone around me better. I can also shoot really well.

Who have been some of the biggest influences on you during your development as a player?
My dad (Eric Starr) coached me in lacrosse from first grade to 10th grade, so he was a key contributor to my success. Also, my high school coaches both have taught me a lot.

What travel team did you play on this past summer and what were some of the showcase events you competed in?
I played for the Long Island Sting this summer. I went to the Baltimore Summer kickoff, New England Top 150, ECLC, Middlebury camp, Hotbeds, National Invitational 175 and Pridefest.
