Chelsea Piers Connecticut (CPCT) in Stamford has announced 2012-2013 tryout information for their elite travel lacrosse program, CP-LAX led by former All American and current CPCT Lacrosse Director, Scott Bulkley.

Boys team tryouts will take place Sept. 16 and Sept. 21 while the girls tryouts will be on Sept. 16 and Sept. 17. All tryouts are held inside Chelsea Piers’ air-conditioned, 100-yard turf field at Chelsea Piers. (See www.cpctlax.com for specific age group times and details and to register.) All registrations must be completed online at www.cpctlax.com.

After a successful inaugural season, the year-round travel program has added four teams. Adding to the current 2013-2016 teams, CP-LAX is now open to boys who are in sixth, seventh and eighth grade (2019, 2018 & 2017) and girls who are in eighth grade and older.

This past summer, each team participated in competitive recruiting tournaments along the east coast. Fall programming at CPCT for current CP-LAX players as well as those who are interested in joining the program is coming soon.

“We had a very successful first summer participating in the most competitive tournaments,” said Bulkley, the head varsity coach at Greenwich.  “After a great inaugural season coupled with the wealth of talent Fairfield County and Westchester County has, I am excited to grow our program to include youth players as well.

“With our state-of-the-art athletic facility at Chelsea Piers Connecticut and a roster of talented, dedicated coaches, I expect that CP-LAX continues to become a dominant force in Fairfield County as well as Westchester County.”
