Section 1’s playoffs got started yesterday with a handful of outbracket games.

But today, the tournament begins in earnest with a stacked slate of first-round affairs.

No. 9 Edgemont at No. 8 Putnam Valley, 4:30 p.m.
No. 12 North Salem at No. 5 Pelham, 4:30 p.m.
No. 14 Hastings at No. 3 Croton-Harmon, 4:30 p.m.
No. 11 Hen Hud at No. 6 Keio, 4:30 p.m.
No. 10 Irvington at No. 7 Kennedy Catholic, 4:30 p.m.

You can watch the Harrison-Ossining game on MSG Varsity. The premiere broadcast will air on Monday, May 21 at 7:30 p.m. on MSG Varsity Channel 14.  There will also be additional airings on Channel 14. The game will also be available On-Demand on Channel 614 and on msgvarsity.com.

Nassau County quarterfinal action continues today at Hofstra. Top-seeded Garden City will face No. 9 South Side and Plainedge will play Long Beach.

In case you weren’t with us here yesterday morning, the seedings for the FCIAC tournament were completed.

Quarterfinal action is set for tomorrow.

    BH wins its game with Haldane as Haldane has decided to forfeit the game as the afternoon game conflicts with its prom. Its a poor decision by the school administrators and the team from Haldane- Lame!!
