We’re at the halfway point of the regular season.

Considering all the surprises and interesting storylines that have emerged already, and especially this past week, you can only imagine how many unexpected plot twists will occur before the regular season wraps up and we prepare for the playoffs.

But first things first.

Let’s take a look at what’s in store for today.

Croton-Harmon, which has jumped out to a surprising 7-0 start, hosts neighboring rival Ossining at 4:15 p.m. among 10 Section 1 games. Also on tap: Mamaroneck at White Plains, Scarsdale at Bronxville and Pearl River at Clarkstown South.

Rivals Smithtown East and Smithtown West meet at 7 p.m. at Smithtown West.

There are just three games today in Nassau County, including a 7:30 p.m. game between host Long Beach at Kennedy Bellmore at Long Beach Middle School.

Also in Suffolk, Northport visits Sachem North at 5 p.m. and West Islip hosts Bay Shore at 4:30 p.m.

In Connecticut action, Brien McMahon, off to a 6-1 start, visits Masuk (4-3) in a 7:15 game at Masuk Memorial Stadium.

actually, Croton-Harmon is 7-0, but it’s good to see their name on here. Hard working, well-rounded team with lots of unsung talent and a very smart 2nd year coach in Steven Palenscar

  3. Relax says:

4-0 Bville they’ve hit the pipe twice & have been peppering the Scarsdale goalie who has a handful of saves already clear mismatch Scarsdale hasn’t mounted any attack thru 1qtr & 1:02 into the 2nd bville makes it 5-0. We’ll find out how good the broncos are thurs vs L/P & Sat vs Pac. This game won’t help in determining their place in Sect.1 6-0 1:47 into 2nd.

  4. Relax says:

10-0 Bville at half almost all the goals came fr attackmen. Scarsdale had it’s 1st shot on net w/ 1:49 left in the half. They had an emo the last min of the half & got 1 shot off that went wide. This one’s over @ half. It’ll be interesting to see how Bville does on thurs & sat. They really haven’t been tested yet. Their attack is very good the two Gras Bros & #10 have been havin a field day today. We will find out this wk how good this team is

  5. LaxLessons.com says:

West Islip scores three unanswered goals to close the game and wins 14-11.

  6. LI Lax says:

For area scoring updates follow me on twitter @ckieser13

    Northport 5, Sachem North 5 after 3

  7. LaxLessons.com says:

Smithtown West holds off Smithtown East 10-9. Brian Balkam had 13 saves for East, which trailed 4-1 after one quarter and 9-6 after three. Pannell and Schultz each 4-2 for West.

  8. Pops says:

Kinda surprised people aren’t giving Sachem North much of a chance to contend in Suffolk A. They have a nice squad.

  9. Lax Guy says:

SE really picked it up in the 2nd half. Looked like West was in control before that. Good game.

  10. oh-Hudson lax says:

back to Croton-Harmon……why would you think that they are off to a surprising start at 7 – 0? Anyone that knows this team doesn’t think it’s surprising. And they are playing 16 Section 1 games, not 10. And right now they are
    8-0.
