It was a busy Saturday of action, with plenty of interesting results, as you can see on our “Gameday” thread.

Among the highlights: New Jersey power Summit beat defending Connecticut Class L state champion Ridgefield 10-5 in a battle of unbeatens; John Jay edged Nassau Class A-leading Massapequa 9-8 just a week after falling to another Long Island power, Manhasset, in OT; Niskayuna rallied to beat Somers 14-8; and West Islip handled Ridgewood 9-5.

Also today, Garden City, the top-ranked team in the latest Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse National High School Power Rankings, pulled away to beat Massachusetts power Duxbury, 10-5. Garden City, which fell behind 2-0 in the first minute of the game, rallied to take a 6-3 lead at the half.
