The Konica Milota Face-Off Classic tripleheader, played today at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, was just that.

A classic.

Here’s a rundown:

* Colin Briggs’ overtime goal gave top-ranked Virginia a 9-8 win against upset-minded Cornell. For more, including the box score, click here.

* A 16-save performance by Steven Rastivo lifted North Carolina to a win against Princeton, in another game that ended with a final score of 9-8. For more, including the box score, click here.

* Johns Hopkins handled UMBC 12-5 in the final game of the day. For more, click here.

There were plenty of other big games outside M&T Bank Stadium today as Loyola defeated Duke, Notre Dame beat Hofstra in OT and Syracuse survived a scare from St. John’s.
