The decisions by Michigan and Marquette to add men’s lacrosse programs attracted a huge amount of attention when they were made.

But beyond the BCS and more recently, there have been colleges who have also decided to launch programs.

Just last week, Furman University in South Carolina announced it would be adding both men’s and women’s lax programs.

Earlier today, InsideLacrosse.com reported that Boston University will be next.

The Terriers, who already have a women’s lacrosse team, are expected to field a men’s team at the D-I level starting with the 2014 season.

the addition of new DI lax programs is really increasing options for HS players….BU should be attractive as it’s a good school in a desirable location…wish BC would join them and start a Beanpot Classic in lax

  2. Laxtime says:

BU is really upstaging BC with this move. Bad job by BC dropping men’s lax. Now that they are in the ACC especially
