Brian Brecht built Siena’s men’s lacrosse team into a perennial MAAC champion and NCAA tournament participant.

After Brecht left the Saints to take over the program at Rutgers, Siena was charged with finding someone who could build on that momentum.

The Saints are hoping former Hobart and Albany assistant John Svec, a former standout at Loyola, is the man for the job.

He was named the team’s new head coach today.
