Ed Stephenson resigned as Binghamton head coach in midseason. Assistant coach Kevin McKeown of Brewster then served as interim head coach for remainder of the season.

Eight current Binghamton players are from the nation’s No. 1 lax hotbed, the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region, with several more on the way, including current senior standouts Anthony Lombardo of Somers and Michael Collins of Rye.

Nelson was recently named MAAC coach of the year after leading the Red Foxes to their second straight winning season.

Prior to his arrival at Marist, he served as head coach at Brown University and Nazareth College.
