Former West Islip star Nicky Galasso, an attackman at North Carolina, was voted ACC freshman of the year last week. He also became the first-ever Tar Heel freshman to earn all-ACC honors. Above, Galasso goes one-on-one against former John Jay star Ryder Bohlander of Maryland.

The first postseason conference tournament wrapped up last week as Maryland beat defending national champion Duke 11-9 to win the ACC title.
