There were plenty of big games this past weekend in Long Island, highlighted by host Ward Melville’s 10-7 win over Garden City. Long Island teams start their third full week of games this week while Connecticut teams start things out.

Hey Connecticut, come on down.

That’s the main storyline for this week, gang.

By the middle of the week, the regular season in the Nutmeg State will have started for many teams. And by the end of this week, for most.

So stay tuned for that, as well as the renewal of the St. Anthony’s-Chaminade rivalry. (That will headline tomorrow’s slate.)

As far as today is concerned, it’s the lightest day of the week schedule-wise.

Of note, the first-year varsity program at Dobbs Ferry debuts with a game at Keio, which is also in its initial season.
