Garden City’s memories of opening the regular season at Syosset are not exactly fond ones.

Two years ago, the Trojans did precisely that and were handed a 6-3 loss.

Tomorrow, the teams meet again at Syosset High School in another season-opening game. Start time is 4:30 p.m.

Expectations are high, of course, for a Garden City team that is No. 2 nationally and No. 1 in the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region in the Under Armour/Inside Lacrosse power rankings.

We’ll run down today’s schedule in a moment, but first, a quick programming note.

Our preseason tristate regional HS preview segments will debut on the 6 p.m. edition of MSG Varsity’s “High School SportsDesk” today (Tuesday, March 22) on Channel 14 with the Long Island preview.

Catch the show each night for a preview of a different region. The Connecticut preview airs Wednesday (March 23), Hudson Valley on Thursday (March 24), Westchester on Friday (March 25), New York City (next Tuesday, March 29) and New Jersey (next Friday, April 1).

The show reairs at 9 p.m. each weeknight.

Each preview features Top 5 teams, Top 5 players, a team to watch and games to watch.

Now, here’s a look at today’s slate:

Middle Country at Rocky Point, 4 p.m.
Roslyn at Glen Cove, 4:15 p.m.
Garden City Syosset 4:30 p.m.
Sayville at Wantagh, 4:30 p.m.
