best game of the season so far…I’m going UVa in a close one..better depth at middie will be the main differennce..(assuming, of course, that everyone plays)..11 – 10, ‘hoos

    • Lax Guy says:

I agree, the last three times these teams played during the regular season Virginia won. Plus I thought Cuse was pretty sloppy in the second half against Army last weekend.

      • BigBadBear says:

guess we were both wrong! but it was a sloppy game that also got a bit chippy at the end, still fun to watch…looks like Desko will be playing Jo Jo a lot more at middie, I think Palasek played most of the second half at X..the biggest difference in this game for me was that the ‘cuse close D dominated the UVa offense inside, while UVa’s close D let Desko roam around too much…

On to Hop for the day, big game for both the Jays and the Tigers…

        • Lax Novice says:

I’m thinking that Dom Starsia will suspend the team manager in charge of keeping Shamel Bratton hydrated for their next game.

Surprisingly easy win for Princeton today, 8-3 over Hopkins at Homewood.

          • BigBadBear says:

Jays never got off the bus..oh wait, they were home..Petro still screaming..
More surprised by Duke over MD

        • Lax Guy says:

Palasek had a couple nice looks, shots just didnt fall. I agree with you on Cuse close D, second half they stoned anyone who came near the crease. I thought Gitleman (spelling) had a rough start in the cage, but he played well in the second half. Entertaining game

Speaking of clinics. My son has taken the sessions of Lew Janavey’s goalie clinic at the Training zone in Cortlandt. If you have a son or daughter who is a goalie at any level this is a must. Lew does a great job of working on the things that are neglected by coaches mainly due to time restraints in normal practices. My son is not only better, but more confident to know the little things that help him out. Big part was Lew teaches them how to do drills, and things to help themselves out, throughout the season. I do not usually make a big deal about these classes, and clinics. However it is hard to find people that work with goalies and touch on ALL these aspects. Look into it.
