Earlier this month, we told you that Syracuse University’s 2011 schedule was unique in that just two of the Orange’s games — at Princeton and at Villanova —  are true road games.

Johns Hopkins University unveiled its ’11 schedule today and it also is noteworthy in that just two games — at Delaware and at Army — will not be televised.

ESPNU will be broadcasting nine of Hopkins’ 12 TV games. The other TV games — vs. Towson, UMBC and Loyola– will be shown on ESPN3.com. WMAR will also broadcast the Towson and Loyola games.

Hopkins is ranked 11th in the Face-Off Yearbook Top 20 preseason rankings, which were released yesterday and you can check out by clicking here. (For the Division II and Division III rankings, click here.)

The nine games on ESPNU are:

SIENA, Feb. 26

PRINCETON, March 5

MANHATTAN, March 9

at Syracuse, March 19

VIRGINIA, March 26

North Carolina (at New Meadowlands), April 3

ALBANY, April 9

at Maryland, April 16

NAVY, April 23

As always, the Blue Jays’ roster includes a large presence of players from the nation’s No. 1 hotbed, the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region, including head coach Dave Pietramala, a native of Hicksville who played at St. Mary’s High School, and associate head coach Bill Dwan, who is a 1987 Yorktown High School graduate.
