Bronxville boasts two of the Hudson Valley region’s top senior recruits in Charlie McCormick (Georgetown) and Jack Near (Notre Dame).

But since they made their commitments, the Broncos’ list of committed seniors has doubled thanks to a couple of defensemen.

Luke Dutton, who is bound for Trinity College in Connecticut, made his choice after Billy Casperson decided on Hamilton.

Here’s a Q&A with Luke on his commitment:

What were the main factors in your decision to attend Trinity?
Trinity was one of the first schools I visited, and from the beginning of college search it has always been at the top of my list. I had seen the campus multiple times throughout the year and could really see myself there.

What other schools were you considering and what schools did you visit?
Colby, Hamilton and Cortland. Of those, I visited Colby and Hamilton.

What adjustments do you think you will need to make to play at the next level?
I will have to adjust to the speed of the game and get stronger.

What are your strengths as a player and how would you describe your style of play?
My ability to clear the ball up field quickly and not lose the man I am guarding.

What players have you looked up to as you have moved up through the varsity ranks?
Players such as Mack VonMehren, Joe Wood and Chris Walsh, who have all gone on to play at the next level.

When did you first realize you had the potential to play at the college level?
When I started to get e-mails from coaches who had seen me play at tournaments and camps in the summer going into my junior year.
