I’m trying to keep a low profile because it seems I may have gone a little too far in one of my posts the other night and there are some parents in O and JJ who are NOT HAPPY with the points man.

I was trying to be a wise guy funnyman, it backfired and I was wrong.

Sorry to Michael Z., Michael D. parents, Ossining, John Jay and bloggers….and also Danny, Nathan and HG.

Even I have a conscience. My bad.

    That being said,

L/P, John Jay, Rye in blow outs. Kidding.

I said I was going to go low profile, so everybody just enjoy the games

Great weekend of lax, a few comments:

    * Although sloppy as hell, especially in the first half, that Duke-UVA game was one of the most exciting games in a long time.
    * As close as the championship game was, with that slow pace, it was pretty tough to watch. So glad I TIVO’d it, so I could zip through it.
    * Rogers won the game for the Irish on Saturday, Cornell would have had one of their typical shock and awe starts on Saturday if not for him standing on his head. Sounds like a real leader as well.
    * Doesn’t anybody teach taking the body anymore? Everyone seems to be going for sticks, especially when the long sticks have it. Constabile basically ran right down the throat of the defense, with guys swiping at his long stick. I was begging someone to just stand in front of him and deliver a body check. Instead, they all waved at the guy running past and scoring the NC winning goal.
    * Huge win for the Jumbo’s, talk about a team taking the game from the start, Salisbury just couldn’t recover. Anyone know why they had red bills on their helmets?
    * Good to see some new blood in the tournament, at least in DI and DIII. DII and Womens same old same old.
    * Surprised to see so many empty seats on Saturday and Monday. Wonder if the late time on Monday hurt the gate.

    * Town, Jay and PV in Section 1. I think Somers will give Jay all they can handle, they need Longo to be huge for them. Town/ LP a pick em, not sure L/P can beat Town twice in a season, but certainly has the team to do it.
    * Style points, it happens. You took your medicine, now continue to have some fun on here.

Look at all the seedings and you can see how much of a joke Hudson Valley is this year. The seeding system was truly terrible. Although it all seemed to work itself out it left many potential semi finalists knocked out in the first few rounds. And yes, I am a HV player who was hurt by the seeding changes. My vote is to return to the power league.

  7. Lax Novice says:

    HV,

You weren’t hurt by the seedings. You were hurt because your team lost. The purpose of the seedings is to align teams based upon their performance during the regular season. If you don’t like your seeding (presumably because you were seeded lower than you thought you should be under some biased, subjective method), then you and your team should play better next year. There is a #6 seed playing today. They didn’t let that stop them.

The seedings didn’t cause your season to be over. You know who did.

  8. Husker Pride says:

Best of luck boys, see you at the games!
