Now, the FCIAC gets in on the act.

The start of the season in one of the nation’s most tradition-rich conferences highlights this week’s action.

But we’re still a couple of days away from the FCIAC season openers.

As for today, it’s an extremely quiet one throughout the Hudson Valley/Long Island/Connecticut region with just a few games on tap.

In Long Island, Mepham plays at Freeport at 11 a.m., and in Section 1, Harrison visits Clarkstown South at 7 p.m.

As always, be sure to post your thoughts on these matchups as well as any info on the scores and game details.

Just got word that Thursday’s Somers at Ridgefield game has been moved to May 17. Ridgefield had a scheduling conflict and will be meeting Staples in place of Somers this week.
